The Joy of Song
I am a member of a 250 member choir called The Sterling Singers. I have been in this choir for about a year now. We are a community choir based here in the Salt Lake area. In 2008 the choir will be singing their first concert of the year, in a large cathedral in Downtown Salt Lake City. We will be singing several famous Baroque pieces. In 2007, the choir toured in New York City, and now has been invited again to sing at Carneige Hall in the Summer of 2009.
The Choir was founded by Sterling Brimley (Wilford Brimley's brother - the actor). The choir is thus named after Sterling. Our director is Kelly Dehaan.
Being in the choir has been a good opportunity for me and has become sort of "my out" from my busy schedule.
